Rapid Response was established in Auckland in 2011, following many years of hands-on experience in the security industry — including roles as a security guard, supervisor, security manager, and national security manager for various providers. In 2012, Rapid Response made the strategic move to operate independently across New Zealand and Australia, building a strong presence through dependable service, client referrals, and a growing reputation for professionalism.

All security personnel at Rapid Response have:

• A valid New Zealand security licence
• A clean criminal record (verified through official checks)
• At least three professional references
• A completed medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening before beginning employment and ongoing regular testing.
• Signed agreement to our Confidentiality, Human Rights, Equal Employment, and Health & Safety policies.
• Most Rapid Response supervisors are well-educated in security and hold at least a New Zealand Certificate in Security (Level 2 or Level 3), ensuring they meet national industry standards and possess the skills and knowledge to lead effectively on-site.
• Most Rapid Response staff hold a current First Aid certificate, ensuring they are prepared to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
